Principles

Same principle, both sides. What we apply to ourselves is what we hand over.

  1. 01

    Clear ownership

The ownership model is written into the contract. With a transfer of ownership, your bespoke code and IP pass to you at the stage the contract defines; the product runs in your repository, on your infrastructure, with no runtime dependency on us. Where we use our ready-made building blocks, the delivered system gets a perpetual right to use them.

  2. 02

    People at the centre

The systems we build are designed to take repetitive load off teams, not to replace them. In decisions that affect money, prices, customers or partners, AI proposes and a person approves. Training your team is part of the delivery.

  3. 03

    Staged authority

Autonomy is a ladder, not a switch. Every process starts in Shadow; authority widens with measured confidence and your approval.

  4. 04

    Gates

Every change and every autonomous decision passes defined gates: tests, security scan, approval. Which decisions go to a person is written down.

  5. 05

    Record

Every decision stays on an immutable record: who, what, why. "Who did this?" always has an answer.

  6. 06

    Reversibility

Releases are versioned. Autonomous processes can be halted, their results rolled back, their stage stepped down.

  7. 07

    Security first

Two-factor authentication, encrypted secret storage, least privilege and continuous scanning are the default, not an afterthought.

  8. 08

    Data residency

Your data is yours; it stays on the infrastructure and in the region you choose. Hosting location and compliance requirements are written down at the start of the project. Your data is not used to train AI models.

  9. 09

    The right to leave

Within the terms of your contract, you can stop working with us and run your system yourself or with another team. Code and documentation are delivered with that in mind.
